Unfortunately, I (Hasby) won't be able to organize the event this year. I may not even be able to make it this year. I have heard that there is a group that may held the event at Second City Church in Harrisburg, but I have yet to be able to contact them directly. If anyone is organizing an event in Harrisburg area, please let me know. If it is organized through Facebook, please send me the link to the FB. I know for Lancaster group, they organized the event through Facebook page. We had several volunteers from Lancaster area last year.

Based on what I have heard so far, we have another successful event for Help-Portrait Harrisburg, PA.  I want to thank you for all the volunteers that help make this event a successful event.  Considering that we don't have any meeting before the event, this is amazing!

The people at Bethesda Mission Men's and Women's Shelters were so glad and thankful that we did it again this year.  And this year, we were able to extend it to include YWCA and I have heard that they also had a great day.

The current date for Help-Portrait worldwide is December 3.  I will try to plan for the event earlier next year and hopefully we can secure December 3 as our event date.  Put it in your calendar.  Recruit more volunteers.

We have finalized the location and time for 2010 Help-Portrait Harrisburg.

It is not too late to join the group.  You can either go to volunteers section and fill out the form there, or go to Facebook and join this event "Help-Portrait Harrisburg"

Help-Portrait Harrisburg 2010 will be on December 11.  We are aware that Help-Portrait Worldwide will be held on December 4, but due to the request from Bethesda Mission, we will be holding this on December 11 instead.  If you are interested, please let us know by filling up this form or look for Help-Portrait Harrisburg event on Facebook.

Just an update in case you have not seen it yet, Help-Portrait 2010 will be on 12.04.2010.  Based on latest video from Jeremy Cowart, Help-Portrait founder, this will be once a year event.  Help-Portrait Harrisburg will consider doing it more than once a year, but at this time, we will keep it as a yearly event.

I walked away with a lot of great photographs but agreed not to share them here for the sake of privacy of those photographed. I also walked away with respect for these gentlemen who are trying to put their lives together despite the rough hand dealt to them by society.
